Publication ethics and corrections
The journals follow the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors must ensure that all listed authors meet the authorship criteria of their discipline, that the work is original, and that any competing interests are disclosed.
Corrections, expressions of concern and retractions
Published articles are not changed silently. Substantive errors are corrected with a visible correction notice; a new version of the article is published and earlier versions remain available. Where there are serious concerns about an article, the editors may publish an expression of concern. An article that cannot be relied upon is retracted: it remains available, marked as retracted, together with a retraction notice.
