About the Journal
An open access journal covering translational research, clinical studies, molecular and cellular biology, and public health.
Aims and Scope
The Cascadia Journal of Biomedical Research publishes high-quality original research, systematic reviews and short reports that advance understanding of human health and disease. Areas of interest include clinical trials and cohort studies, molecular and cell biology, immunology and oncology, neuroscience, epidemiology and global health. Studies involving human participants must state that they were approved by an appropriate ethics committee and that informed consent was obtained. Clinical trials must be registered in a public registry before the first participant is enrolled. Reports of animal experiments must follow the ARRIVE guidelines.
Author Guidelines
Manuscripts are considered for publication on the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere and are not under consideration by another journal. All submissions are screened by the editorial office before they are sent for peer review. Preparing your submission Submit the manuscript as a single file in DOCX or PDF format. The title page should give the full title, the names and affiliations of all authors, and the corresponding author’s email address. The abstract should not exceed 300 words and should be understandable without reference to the main text. Provide between three and ten keywords. Authorship and ethics All listed authors must have made a substantial contribution to the work and must agree to the submitted version. Contributions should be described using the CRediT taxonomy. Competing interests, funding sources and, where relevant, ethics approval and data availability must be declared at submission. Any use of generative AI tools in the preparation of the manuscript must be disclosed. Revisions A revised manuscript must be accompanied by a point-by-point response to the reviewers. Please also upload a version in which the changes are marked. The journal asks authors to return revisions within eight weeks of the decision. Further questions about biomedical submissions may be sent to the editorial office.
